Re-Mastering & Noise Removal

Kratz Horn 01

This is an short example of a re-master
after digitizing an old, damaged live cassette tape source. The lead horn player is a member of the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra.

In this case, the remaster presented was the one chosen by the performer. While there is some impact on the general dynamics, it is quickly obscured by the resulting warmth and impact of the horns after the removal of both ambient, tape and machine noise.

Often, several versions will be presented offering varying amounts of compression, equalization and noise removal or reduction. You are welcome to choose the version that best fits your desired sound.

This was re-mastered utilizing various plugins from izotope, Waves, Sonitus, and Cakewalk.
